These Terms & Conditions explain how Black Sheep Wellbeing operates, what you can expect from sessions, and the boundaries that help keep the work safe, clear, and respectful.
By booking a session, you are agreeing to the terms below.
1. Who I Am

Black Sheep Wellbeing operates in line with UK GDPR and the BACP Ethical Framework.
2. Nature of the Service
Black Sheep Wellbeing provides supportive, trauma-informed counselling and wellbeing support, including:
emotional and psychological support
trauma-informed therapy
support with depression, anxiety, and bereavement
grounding and emotional regulation
identity rebuilding
integrative, relational support sessions
This is a counselling and wellbeing service and is not a crisis service or emergency medical service.
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact NHS 111, your GP, or emergency services.
3. Sessions & Fees
Standard sessions last 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
Fees are agreed before work begins.
Payment is required in advance of each session unless otherwise arranged.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, card payment (via Squarespace), or PayPal.
For pre-paid session blocks, please refer to the session information provided at the time of booking.
4. Cancellations & Missed Sessions
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session fee.
Missed appointments without notice are also charged at the full session fee.
If I need to cancel a session, I will always give as much notice as possible and offer an alternative where available.
5. Confidentiality
Everything you share is treated as confidential.
Information will only be shared where there is a legal or ethical obligation to do so, including:
risk of serious harm to you or others
safeguarding concerns
legal requirements (e.g. court order)
professional supervision (in anonymised form only)
Where possible, I will discuss any concerns with you before taking action.
6. Record Keeping
Brief clinical notes are kept to support safe and effective practice.
Records are stored securely in password-protected electronic files in line with UK GDPR and insurance requirements.
Records are retained for 7 years in accordance with professional guidance.
You have the right to request access to your records at any time.
7. Working Together
To maintain a safe and respectful therapeutic space, I ask that clients:
attend sessions on time
engage as safely and honestly as they are able
do not attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs
communicate respectfully within the therapeutic space
If sessions become unsafe or inappropriate, support may need to be paused or ended.
8. My Responsibilities
I will:
provide a safe, confidential, and respectful space
work within my training and competence
maintain professional boundaries
keep your information secure
be clear about fees and expectations
work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and UK GDPR
9. Online Sessions
For online or telephone sessions:
you are responsible for ensuring a private, confidential space
a stable internet connection is recommended for online sessions
if technical issues arise, we will attempt to reconnect or reschedule where appropriate
10. Ending Support
You are free to end therapy at any time.
Where possible, it is helpful to have a closing conversation so that work can be ended safely and thoughtfully.
I may also recommend ending or pausing support if it is no longer clinically appropriate or if another type of support would better meet your needs.

If you have any concerns, please contact:
I will aim to respond promptly and work with you to resolve any issues in a respectful and constructive way.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
12. Legal Jurisdiction
Black Sheep Wellbeing Ltd operates under the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
